At wit's end

I am at wit's end with me mother. I have done everything that I know of in my power and nothing has worked. She has been experiencing horrible lower back pain for the last week. We've tried Tylanol, back brace, back rubs, sleeping on her stomach. Nothing seems to help.

She thinks it is her tailbone which was broke in the rollover accident 3 years ago. And since you can't do anything for tailbones she just says there is nothing they can do. So she won't go to the doctor or the ER.

My niece, Kelly, says it could be a kidney infection. Never thought about that.

She cries every day. And it keeps her from sleeping at night. So I am at my wit's end to what to do. Any suggestions?

  1. Tell her:

"Grandma, we have tried everything in our knowledge and nothing has helped. If my car was making a funny noise, and I tried everything that I knew to fix it, but it still did it, I would have to go to a mechanic (even if I thought I knew what the problem was because it might be something else.)

If that doesn't work, tie her up and drag her in. :)

  2. I read her your post. She said she doesn't think a mechanic will help her. She did finally go to the chiropractor today and he gave her an extensive treatment. She is to go back on Wed. for another.

  3. see if she will go to markle medical center and just do a pee test....i think that is how they can tell if she has a kidney infection...possibly its bloodwork i cant remember.....but her tail bone would be more butt pain not back pain....remember I had surgery on my tailbone to remove a cyst and now I have to sit differently on hard surfaces and cannot ride a bike.....but than again I agree with Nichole....tiy her up and drag her in :) love you grandma

  4. she has a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 12:45 at Markle. I will leave work and take her just in case she needs to go somewhere else and have tests done. She is still in a whole lot of pain.
